ONE Welcomes New Chief Development Officer — Bob Pilon
WASHINGTON – ONE, the global campaign to end extreme poverty, is pleased to announce the hire of Bob Pilon as its Chief Development Officer (CDO).
Pilon comes to ONE from Malaria No More in New York City where he most recently served as Managing Director and CDO. In this capacity, Pilon provided leadership, strategic direction, and management of all fundraising programs, activities and events of the organization. Over the course of his career, Pilon has helped raise more than $200M for programs that educate the public and fight Malaria and other infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bob to ONE in the role of CDO,” said ONE President and CEO Michael Elliott. “Bob will be responsible for creating and overseeing our global fundraising strategies and will be a valuable addition to our leadership team as we advocate on behalf of the world’s poorest people.”
Pilon has visited and worked in more than a dozen African and Asian nations that have been severely impacted by malaria, HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty. Prior to his work at Malaria No More, Pilon was Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Washington, DC. He also served as Finance Director for the U.S. Senate campaign of Matt Brown and as Senior Development Officer for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
