ONE Hires Elizabeth Hoffman as North America Executive Director

WASHINGTON – The ONE Campaign, the global advocacy organization co-founded by U2 lead singer Bono to fight extreme poverty and preventable diseases, has hired Elizabeth Hoffman as its new Executive Director for North America. Based out of ONE’s headquarters in Washington, DC, Hoffman will oversee the organization’s nationwide campaigns and advocacy efforts in both the United States and Canada.

Hoffman joins ONE from CSIS, where she served as Director of Congressional and Government Affairs. She previously served in leadership roles at the National Endowment for Democracy, the George W. Bush Institute, and as a longtime staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a term member at the Council of Foreign Affairs and a senior associate at CSIS.

“Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience in government relationship, partnerships, and advocacy, with a proven track record of driving growth and fostering innovation, said Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli, President and CEO of The ONE Campaign. “As ONE works to shift global narratives around Africa and push for significant new investments and resources to create healthier lives and economic opportunities on the continent, we’re confident Elizabeth’s proven leadership will keep ONE’s North America operations on the frontlines of the search for innovative, Africa-led solutions to the world’s biggest challenges.”

“I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of such a dynamic and mission driven organization,” said Elizabeth Hoffman. “I have long been passionate about integrating the voices of civil society and average citizens across the globe into U.S. foreign policy. The ONE Campaign is defining itself as a leader in this space and it is an honor to be part of this effort.”
