Jay Heimbach Joins ONE as Senior Director of U.S. Government Relations

WASHINGTON, June 7, 2012 – The ONE Campaign is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Heimbach as its new Senior Director of U.S. Government Relations. Heimbach is the former White House Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs and served as Senator Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) Chief of Staff.

“Jay brings a wealth of experience to this role,” says ONE U.S. Executive Director Tom Hart. “He knows how Washington works and has been a key player in getting things done. Jay is also well respected on both sides of the aisle and we are thrilled to welcome him to the ONE team.”

Before his work on Capitol Hill and in the Obama White House, Heimbach was the Policy Advisor to President Bill Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff and the Special Assistant to the Director of Legislative Affairs. Heimbach was also the Director of the Office of Legislative and Inter-Governmental Affairs for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In that role, he was in charge of formulating and executing legislative strategy and served as the FCC’s primary point of contact with Members of Congress.
