ONE CEO urges full funding for the Global Fund in FY20 budget testimony
WASHINGTON — Today, former USAID Administrator and current CEO of The ONE Campaign, Gayle Smith, testified before the House Appropriations Committee on the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs FY20 Budget.
Gayle’s testimony focused on the importance of fully funding the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria at $1.56 billion for FY20. President Trump’s FY20 budget proposal included just $1.1 billion for the Global Fund and cut PEPFAR by 22%.
