ONE Campus

Collectively, students and young people have defined social movements, decided elections, and changed the course of history. When we rally our voices as activists and advocates for the issues we care most passionately about, our elected leaders listen.

ONE Campus creates change by mobilizing college students across the country to learn about extreme global poverty and the challenges it creates; campaigning on campus about the opportunity to eradicate extreme poverty; and advocating for smart, lifesaving investments and US development policies.

It’s not easy work, but the numbers don’t lie. Since 1990, the number of people living in extreme poverty has been cut by 60%. As we continue and improve our work and make our voices heard, we can see an end to extreme poverty in our lifetimes.

What is ONE Campus?

College students are a powerful political force. So in 2007, ONE launched the ONE Campus Challenge to propel this group into action and mobilize college students in the fight against extreme poverty.

Through action-oriented campaigns, students, faculty, and alumni join together to take meaningful advocacy actions that urge political leaders to support programs that are saving lives and creating sustainable futures in the developing world every day.

ONE Campus strives to combine the crucial elements of advocacy campaigns with the energy and activism unique to the college experience. Students join (or start!) their school’s ONE chapter. Through their ONE Campus chapter, students rally with their peers to participate in our creative advocacy campaigns and report each advocacy action they complete.
