ONE responds to UK’s ‘Living with Covid’ strategy
Today (21st February), the Prime Minister announced the Living with Covid strategy, setting out how the UK is to move forward with how the virus impacts life in the UK.
Responding, Romilly Greenhill, UK Director of The ONE Campaign, said: “There can be no viable plan to begin the recovery from the pandemic here in the UK, if there isn’t a viable plan to end the threat of the virus everywhere.
“Though it’s great that we get to choose to move on from the virus impacting our day-to-day lives, for millions of people around the world that is simply not the case.
“This means there’s still a potential threat to people here, as the risk of new variants emerging is greater where fewer people have been able to receive a dose. Truly learning to live with Covid means we are all protected, wherever we are in the world, so everyone can move on.”
