Global development champion David Cameron joins ONE Campaign Board
David Cameron, the former UK Prime Minister, has joined the Board of Directors of anti-poverty advocacy organisation The ONE Campaign, in an unpaid role.
Announcing Mr Cameron’s appointment, the Chair of ONE’s Board, Tom Freston, said:
“David Cameron is a global development champion and has been a tremendous advocate for Britain’s leadership role in fighting extreme poverty, disease and corruption.
“During his time as Prime Minister, the UK reached the historic 0.7% of GNI for aid, with multi-party support, and he led the world at the G7 in 2013 in the fight against corruption. We are delighted that he is joining ONE’s Board.”
The ONE Campaign is a nonpartisan campaigning and advocacy organisation of more than 8 million people taking action to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.
ONE is not a grant-making organisation and does not solicit funding from the public or receive government funds.
