AU made permanent member of G20 – ONE’s reaction
Dr David McNair, executive director of policy at The ONE Campaign, said: “ONE has long called for African countries to have fair representation at the top decision making tables. The African Union, representing the continent’s 1.4 billion people, now has a permanent seat at the G20 – the coordinating body for the global economy. This is a major step forward and one we strongly welcome.”We look forward to decisions from the G20 – on reforming the World Bank, unlocking the investment required to transform African economies while building resilience to climate change and the other challenges facing the us all.”
