Welcome to Pandemica. It’s a never-ending pandemic purgatory, where COVID-19 never goes away, but continues to mutate and cross borders. It’s the most deadly place on earth, where twice as many people die, the global economy loses trillions of dollars, and life as we knew it does not return. Sound familiar?
We knew this dystopia could be a reality if the world didn’t prioritize equal access to COVID-19 vaccines. So we created “Pandemica,” an animated content series to raise awareness and explain the critical importance of getting vaccines to all countries as quickly as possible. Pandemica helped us make vaccine equity a widely understood and discussed concept.

What we did
- We partnered with artist Andrew Rae, animator Titmouse, sound designers father, and the creative agency hive to create 7 short animated videos in 7 languages.
- The videos featured some famous voices, including Penélope Cruz, Danai Gurira, David Oyelowo, Calum Worthy, Connie Britton, Kumail Nanjiani, Nick Kroll, and ONE co-founder Bono.
- The series helped spread an urgent message: “If the vaccine isn’t everyone, this pandemic isn’t going anywhere.”
