Overview

Climate change threatens to reverse the gains being made against poverty and disease in some of the poorest countries on earth. Countries such as Malawi, Kenya and Ethiopia face increased droughts, floods and storms, eroded coastlines, falling crop yields, and the spread of waterborne and insect-driven diseases.

It's up to us to make sure the climate bill currently being written in the Senate directs 5% of any revenue to helping the world's poorest people meet this dire new challenge.
