ONE is embarking on a listening and learning trip to Senegal, Ghana, Mozambique and Kenya with members of our board and other supporters. The delegation will meet with grassroots leaders in African civil society to hear about what is working to help advance economic and social progress on the continent, and what the obstacles are to development. Governance will be a special focus, but the group will also assess progress in the areas of trade, investment, health, agriculture and education. The group will be joined by advisors from the region, including World Bank Managing Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Senegalese musician and activist Youssou N'Dour, Ghanaian economist and ONE Policy Advisory Board member KY Amoako, and Kenyan anti-corruption crusader and ONE Policy Advisory Board member John Githongo. Throughout the trip, we'll post updates here and we hope you follow along.
