Action: 23. Time: 15 minutes. Level of difficulty: Moderate.
While the holiday season is about exchanging gifts, eating pie and spending time with friends and family, it’s also the perfect time for us to think about what we are thankful for and what we can do to help those who are less fortunate.
With this in mind, we’d like for you to reflect on your activism, the world’s poorest people and our fight against global poverty. Then, pitch it to us in the form below, and we’ll choose one lucky ONE member to turn it into a piece for the ONE Blog.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
What have I done this year to contribute to the end of hunger, poverty and disease? What am I planning to do next year to make a difference? What am I thankful for, having won the lottery of birth? What inspired me this year to take action for the world’s poorest? What have I done to teach your children, friends and family about our responsibility to care for those less fortunate?
Using the form below, write two or three sentences on your reflections on the questions above. You don’t have to address every question, just the ones that speak to you most.
Next Friday, we will review your submissions. The person with the most persuasive, inspiring and moving story pitch will have the opportunity to turn their idea into a post for the ONE Blog. We’ll contact the winner via email, so make sure you include it in the form.
