OK, Twitterers: get ready to take a great action that can be huge help in tackling HIV/AIDS. ONE and (RED) have teamed up to create a new Twitter campaign to send the White House a message that we need a bold global plan that could mark the beginning of the end of AIDS. Visit www.one.org/endofaids and send your message now.

Why now? The White House is looking at its global AIDS strategy this month, leading up to World AIDS Day on December 1. We need a plan that focuses on ending mother-to-child transmission of HIV and calls for new treatments for prevention and treatment. It is ambitious, but these are all measurable and achievable goals. The beginning of the end of this disease is in sight.

There are new studies that show exciting promise about preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and the US already leads the world in helping provide treatment. But, it has to start now and we need White House leadership to help make this promise a reality.

Get started now: visit www.one.org/endofaids and send your tweet. You can also catch (RED)’s great new video on our HIV campaign and follow the Twitter hashtag #endofaids to see who else is tweeting our message. We’ll keep you posted on the White House reaction to our message as we get closer to World AIDS Day this December.
